I understand that:

  • You have to be enrolled or intend to enrol (over 6 credit points) as a on-shore UTS student for the semester you are applying for, doing an undergraduate, postgraduate or research degree, to continue to reside in UTS residences. Proof of enrolment, in the form of a UTS offer letter, must be provided at the start of the agreement.
  • Failure to enrol by the Census date or withdrawing may result in the cancellation of your Licence Agreement and a cancellation fee may apply.

The following selection guidelines are taken into account when reviewing your application:

  • Previous academic achievement
  • Year of study/faculty/program
  • Gender balance
  • Geographic origin
  • Track record or interest in contributing positively to residential life
  • Enrolment status
  • Preference given to full-time students
  • Preference may be given to students applying to UTS residences for the first time

Special consideration may be given to applicants who have:

  • Limited financial means
  • Gained admission to UTS via a special admissions scheme (eg. inpUTS, Jumbunna) or via an AusAid Scholarship.

Set criteria are used by UTS to assess whether a student is experiencing financial hardship and is eligible for financial assistance. For more general information contact the UTS Financial Assistance Service.
